Egypt’s PM ensures stable supply of goods for Ramadan

Egypt’s government is prioritising the availability of staples with stable prices during Ramadan, with daily monitoring to ensure sufficient supplies for citizens, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly stated.

Coordination with relevant ministers has been ongoing to stabilise commodity prices, while collaboration with the private sector and civil society organisations has been strengthened in preparation for the holy month.

Since early February, commodity exhibitions have been launched across governorates in collaboration with the Governors’ Council, allowing citizens to purchase goods in advance.

Madbouly affirmed that all necessary financial allocations have been secured following discussions with the Minister of Finance. He also highlighted his recent meeting with the Board of Trustees of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, emphasising the role of civil society in supporting state efforts to assist low-income families, particularly during Ramadan.
