Egypt’s Al-Abd says executing $400 mln PPP infrastructure flagships

Egypt’s construction firm Al-Abd says it is executing a various bundle of public-private partnership (PPP) housing and infrastructure flagships worth around 800 million Egyptian pounds ($49.5 million).

These projects are being implemented in favour of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), part of the Egyptian Ministry of Housing, Al-Abd’s managing director Said Fattouh said on Thursday.

Al-Abd has recently won a mandate to execute some utilities works, including drinking water, irrigation, and sanitation networks in cooperation with NUCA within the first phase of the new capital city, Fattouh added.

These works come as part of the company’s plan to deliver a number of utilities works worth nearly 50 million pounds in the new capital, 45k (28 miles) east of Cairo, he said.
