Egypt’s ANRPC reports strong fiscal year results, strategic developments
Egypt’s Alexandria National Refining and Petrochemicals Company (ANRPC) achieved significant milestones for the FY2023/2024. The company reported a production of approximately 1.9 million tons of high-octane gasoline (92 and 95), accounting for about 30 per cent of Egypt’s total domestic production of this key fuel product.
ANRPC also showed marked improvements in its financial performance, driven by increased revenues and effective cost-reduction strategies.
The company outlined its strategic development projects, including a partnership with Mitsubishi to repurpose surplus hydrogen as boiler fuel. This initiative is expected to cut carbon dioxide emissions by 57,000 tons annually and conserve 31,000 tons of natural gas. Additionally, ANRPC is expanding its storage capacity by constructing a new 10,000-ton tank to ensure a reliable fuel supply.
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi praised ANRPC’s dedication to high safety and environmental standards, emphasising the company’s key role in stabilising the local petroleum market.
