Egypt’s ASRT, West Virginia State University sign MoU on agricultural research

Egypt’s Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) signed on Tuesday a memorandum of understanding with the West Virginia State University (WVSU) Research and Development Corporation to enhance collaboration in agricultural genomics, food security, and high-value crop development.

The agreement, signed in the presence of Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Ayman Ashour, sets a framework for joint scientific programmes and research projects between the two institutions, with a focus on knowledge exchange and applied innovation.

The MoU also aims to foster equitable and mutually beneficial partnerships between researchers, supporting sustainable development goals and facilitating the transfer of advanced agricultural technologies to Egypt, the wider Middle East, and Africa.
