Egypt’s bourse closes in green on March 21

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed all green on Thursday, with the main index, EGX30 surging by 1.63 per cent to 29,054.96 points.

The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 inched up by 3.16 per cent, to 6,596.4 points.

The index, EGX100 index was boosted by 3.12 per cent, to 9411.43 points.

The total market cap reached 1,939,165,229,734 Egyptian pounds.

The Arabs and non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers with 228,622,742 Egyptian pounds, and 17,100,312,398 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 17,328,935,140 Egyptian pounds.

Top gainers on Thursday

The shares of Rights Issue Of El Obour Real Estate Investment-3 (OBRI.CA) jumped by 29.33 per cent, to close at 0.732 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of Nasr Company for Civil Works (NCCW.CA) hiked by 16.14 per cent, to the purchasing price of 5.180 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of Engineering Industries (ICON) (ENGC.CA) climbed by 12.00 per cent, to trade at the price of 22.780 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers on Thursday

The shares of Rights Issue Of Cairo Oils & Soap -3 (COSG_r3.CA) plunged by 7.50 per cent, to close at 0.074 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of Sabaa International Company for Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industry (SIPC.CA) went down by 6.18 per cent, to close at 0.713 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of Edita Food Industries S.A.E (EFID.CA) dropped by 4.98 per cent, to close at the price of 31.070 Egyptian pounds a share.
