Egypt’s bourse opens Thursday on mixed note
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Thursday’s trading session on a mixed note.
By 10:30 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index remained stable at 15,579.26 points.
The small- and mid-cap index EGX70 inched up 0.08 percent to 755.81 points, while the broader EGX100 index added 0.12 percent to 1.939 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index dipped 0.05 percent to 2,653 points.
Trading volume amounted to around 5 million shares exchanged at a turnover of 48.5 million pounds through 756 transactions.
Arab investors were net sellers with 1.2 million pounds, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net buyers with 851,200 pounds and 353,400 pounds, respectively.
