Egypt’s bourse opens Tuesday in green
Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Tuesday’s trading session in green territory.
By 10:30 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX 30 index added 88.12 points, or 0.66 percent, to 13,322.7 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX 70 index edged up 0.23 percent to 683.69 points, while the EGX 100 index went up 0.20 percent to 1,714.58 points.
The equal-weighted EGX 50 index gained 0.99 percent to 2,142 points.
Trading volume reached nearly 29.19 million shares exchanged at a turnover of 84.8 million pounds through 3,400 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with 2.5 million pounds, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with 885,040 pounds and 1.6 million pounds, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) slipped 0.46 percent to 80.12 pounds with a turnover of 374,700 pounds.
