Egypt’s CBE issues EGP 100b in T-bills
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on Tuesday issued a total of 100 billion Egyptian pounds in four treasury bills auctions, according to a CBE statement on its website.
This auction offers investors four options for investing in government debt with varying maturities.
Investors can choose between:
182-day T-bills: offering an investment of 25 billion pounds with a maturity day of November 5th, 2024.
364-day T-bills: offering an investment of 20 billion pounds with a maturity day of May 6th, 2025.
91-day T-bills: offering an investment of 30 billion pounds with a maturity day of August 6th, 2024.
273-day T-bills: offering an investment of 25 billion pounds with a maturity day of February 4th, 2025.
The CBE likely releases details on the accepted bids and weighted average yields on their website after the auction concludes.
