Egypt’s Cinema Radio hosts ‘Our Palestine’ fundraiser event

Kairos, culture and design collective, is holding a two-day fundraising and solidarity event under the name ‘Our Palestine’, local press reported on Tuesday.

The event will run on November 30th and December first at Cinema Radio in Downtown Cairo.

It is set to open from 12 P.M. to eight P.M.

The fundraiser will have a number of artworks, furniture, accessories and multiple other products on display and for sale.

Our Palestine will also have an online auction for artworks and designs with all proceeds going to aid organisations.

The event is a collaboration between the National Alliance for Civil Work.

It will also hold four donation booths for Resala, Masr El Kheir, The Food Bank, and Ahl Misr.

“We’re trying to be proactive, and we know this is not enough but we’re trying to find a window where we can raise money for a good cause through leveraging Egyptian art and artists,” Mohamed Radwan, founder of Cairo Designathon, one of the event’s organisers told local press.

The events will also help raise awareness by screening two films documenting Palestinian experiences and culture.

After the screening, there will be a panel discussion featuring Palestinian activists.
