Egypt’s computers imports to fall 15% end-2016

The total volume of Egypt’s imports of computers is expected to decline by 10-15 percent by the end of 2016.

Head of General Division of Computer at Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC), Khalil Hassan Khalil stated Wednesday that computers prices soared by 100 percent due to the hike in dollar prices in black market.

In 2015, the total number of imported computers reached around 800,000 from 750,000 in 2014, the official clarified.
