Egypt’s Court: Complementary Constitutional Declaration “Sovereign”

The Administrative Judiciary Court, headed by Judge Abdel Salam El Naggar- deputy chairman of state’s council, issued 5 verdicts that rejected considering o lawsuits, which called for annulling the decision of the Supreme Council of the armed Forces (SCAF) of issuing the complementary constitutional declaration.

 The court affirmed that it is not specialized in considering these lawsuits, as the complementary constitutional declaration issued by the SCAF during the transitional period; what makes the decision sovereign and the court couldn’t consider it.

 39 lawsuits filed before the court that called for overturning the President Morsi’s decision of reinstating the PA, were referred to the Supreme Constitutional court for judging.
