Egypt’s stocks continued rallies during the midday session of Wednesday posting gains of EGP 2.4 billion backed by local and Arab buyers. The benchmark index nears 5420 pts during the midday.
The Egyptian Exchange’s indices were wavering this noon in green notes.
The Benchmark EGX30 edged up by 0.22% to 5419.94 p; while EGX20 rose by 0.40% to 6300.28 p.
On the other hand, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 advanced by 0.39% to 462.45 p. Price index EGX100 increased by 0.27% to 776.27 p.
The capital market has reached EGP 367.078 billion on Wednesday noon according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad English at 12:35 a.m. Cairo time (10:35 GMT).
Trading Volumes & Values
The trading volume has recorded 73.352 million securities worth EGP 257.214 million, exchanged through 11.078 thousand transactions during Wednesday midday.
Also during the midday session, 149 listed securities have been traded in; 42 fell, 71 advanced; while 36 keeping their previous levels.
Investors’ Activities
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers seizing 71.79% and 8.03% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 5.692 million and EGP 3.708 million respectively, excluding the deals.
Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers seizing 20.18%, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 9.401 million excluding the deals.
