Egypt’s GAFI studies building 3 new free zones

Egypt’s General Authority of Free Zones and Investment (GAFI) CEO Hossam Heiba said that the government is planning to establish three new free zones, this came during his meeting with the Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly on Sunday.

Heiba explained that the new free zones are planned to be established in Alexandria, the 10th of Ramadan, and the 6th of October cities, adding that there are several requests from investors in this regard.

However, Madbouly reviewed the latest progress on companies applying for or receiving gold licenses during his meeting with GAFI’s CEO, according to the cabinet’s statement.

Heiba also reviewed the efforts made by the authority to attract investments, as well as the meetings he held with a number of investors and representatives of international companies to promote investment opportunities in different sectors.
