Egypt’s gold reserves fell 8.4 per cent month-on-month to $17.456 billion at the end of September from $19.058 billion in August, provisional Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) data showed on Wednesday.
Gold holdings decreased by $1.602 billion from the previous month, the data showed.
Egypt’s net international reserves, however, rose 0.23 per cent to a new record $57.348 billion at the end of September from $57.215 billion a month earlier.
