Egypt’s Health Ministry monitors health situation after earthquake

Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population said the healthcare system is fully prepared and has handled all received reports efficiently and swiftly since the earthquake that struck in the early hours of Monday.

The ministry has been continuously monitoring the health situation nationwide through its Central Operations Room, headed by Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.

Health monitoring showed that only one injury nationwide was recorded, with the necessary medical care provided before the patient was discharged after their condition improved.

The ministry added that follow-up operations are continuing around the clock through the Central Operations Room and emergency rooms at hospitals nationwide.

The Ministry of Health and Population urged citizens to remain calm and reassured, rely on official statements issued by the relevant authorities, and follow all public safety guidelines.

It also confirmed that the Central Operations Room remains in continuous session to monitor any developments and provide the necessary support immediately.
