Egypt’s Hisham Ezz Al-Arab named adviser to c.bank governor

Egypt’s acting central bank governor Hassan Abdalla has appointed Hisham Ezz Al-Arab the former head of the Commercial International Bank (CIB) as his adviser, according to sources told Amwal Al Ghad.

This came during Hassan Abdullah’s first meeting with current and former bank heads on Wednesday.

Ezz Al-Arab said after assuming the new position on his Facebook official account, “…I am sure of success despite the challenges.”

Ezz Al-Arab held the presidency of CIB from 2002 until October 2020, as the bank achieved unprecedented successes under his leadership.

Moreover, he innovated the latest technological methods for customer service by establishing the Big Data sector and analysing customer data for the first time in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa.
