Egypt’s Housing Ministry has approved to allocate 2.9 billion Egyptian pounds ($163.8 million) for executing a number of infrastructure works in Obour City within the financial year 2017/2018, Minister Moustafa Madbouly said Thursday.
Obour City is located in Qalyubia Governorate, around 35km (21.7 miles) northeast of Cairo (21.7 miles). The city, which was designated as an industrial zone and houses of a number of factories, has approximately 250,000 citizens.
The country is currently carrying out a major road network in Obour City, with investments of one billion Egyptian pounds ($56.5 million), Madbouly further stated, adding that the network’s space reaches around 65km.
