Egypt’s MCV to export 60 double-decker buses to UK

Egypt-based MCV, affiliated to Mercedes Group and a branch of Ghabour family, has launched a direct production line to export 60 buses of its double-decker buses to the United Kingdom, said the minister of industry on Sunday.

The minister, who has been touring the new factory in El Salheyya el Gedida, said that the investments of MCV’s industrial complex are estimated at 500 million Egyptian pounds.

The factory is producing annually between 8.000 and 10.000 double-decker buses of which 5.000 to 8.000 buses are exported to number of markets in UK, Australia, Netherlands, and Hong Kong.
