Egypt’s MIDTAP reports record growth in ’24

Egypt’s Middle East Oil Tankage and Pipeline Company (MIDTAP) reported record performance in 2024, with petroleum product handling rising to 4.7 million tons from 1.6 million tons in 2023. The company’s marine berth in Dekheila Port received 153 tankers, up from 63, following the activation of a night navigation system and 24-hour docking operations.

Minister of Petroleum Karim Badawi attended MIDTAP’s general assembly, where Chairman Hassanain Mohamed highlighted the company’s role in transporting crude oil from SUMED’s Sidi Kerir facility to the MIDOR refinery.

MIDTAP maintained strong safety standards, reaching 5.7 million safe working hours since 2012, and fully integrated its operations into an ERP system. It also completed CSR projects at a total cost of EGP 30m, including hospital upgrades, village development, and support for children with special needs.
