Egypt’s MSMEDA signs startup support deal with Global Entrepreneurship Festival

Egypt’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) signed a partnership agreement with the Global Entrepreneurship Festival (GEF) on Saturday to support startups and small businesses.

The agreement was announced during the launch of the third edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Festival in Cairo, which Egypt will host in November.

The partnership aims to expand support for startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), while deepening cooperation between government institutions and the private sector.

The deal forms part of broader efforts by Egyptian authorities to boost private-sector participation, improve access to financing and accelerate the growth of innovation-driven businesses.

The Global Entrepreneurship Festival, scheduled for 6-8 Nov. in Cairo, is expected to attract more than 10,000 participants from over 70 countries, according to organisers.
