Egypt’s national table tennis team, consisting of Egyptian duo Omar Assar and Dina Meshref, qualified for the Paris Olympics 2024 on Saturday. The duo will compete in the Table Tennis Mixed Doubles Olympics in Paris 2024.

This comes after they walked out victorious in their battle defeating Nigeria’s Olajide Omotayo and Funke Oshonaike 3-1 at the 2023 ITTF African Championships in Tunisia.

The Nigerian team, however, will not be joining the Table Tennis Mixed Doubles at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Both Egypt and Nigeria maintained a 100 percent record without any defeat until the finals.

The Paris Olympics games will take place next year from the 26th of July to the 11th of  August 2024.
