Egypt’s natural gas exports jump 406.5% in Q1

The value of Egypt’s exports of natural gas jumped by 406.5 percent to $2.8 billion during the first quarter of 2022, compared to $559.9 million during the same period in 2021.

The latest data of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMS) showed that Turkey topped the list of the world’s highest importers of natural gas from Egypt during the first quarter of 2022 with amount $917.2 million.

Spain ranked second in the list a value of $425.7 million, followed by Indonesia with $317.8 million, then France with $303.1 million.

China came in the fifth in the list with a value of $182.1 million during the first three months of this year, followed by South Korea with a value of $146.5 million and then the United Kingdom valued at $140.3 million.

Moreover, Egypt’s natural gas exports had reached to Belgium, the Netherlands, Thailand, Greece, and Jordan.
