Egypt’s net FX reserves hit record $56.3 bln at end-July: CBE

Egypt’s net international reserves rose to a record $56.294 billion at the end of July from $55.072 billion a month earlier, provisional central bank data showed on Wednesday.

Net reserves increased by $1.222 billion, or 2.22 per cent month on month, extending gains in the country’s foreign currency holdings amid continued external inflows despite a challenging global economic environment.
