Egypt’s Orascom finalises U.S. largest methanol production facility

Egypt’s leading global engineering and construction firm Orascom Construction (OC) announced Sunday that it has completed works on Natgasoline, the largest methanol production facility in the United States.

Located in Beaumont, Texas, Natgasoline is with productive capacity estimated at 1.75 million metric tonnes per year.

The Certificate of Mechanical Completion was signed on 18 April 2018 by both Natgasoline, the project owner, and Orascom Construction, the main contractor.

With this milestone in place, the Group further strengthened its industrial track record, which encompasses petrochemicals, fertilizers and cement projects in 11 countries around the world.

Moreover, Orascom has achieved profits worth $85.1 million during the financial year 2016/2017 up from $53 million during 2016.
