Egypt’s PM lauds Rubex quality products

Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly paid a visit to Rubex International for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing facilities, in New Borg El-Arab city, the Cabinet reported on Monday.

Rubex has invested $12 million and plans to add 150 million Egyptian pounds in fresh investments in 2024-2025, the company Chairman, Magdy El Taher, said, adding that company’s sales reached 200 million pounds, to be increased to 250 million pounds in 2024. Export volume shall be increased by 20-30 per cent, he added.

The tour showcased Rubex diverse manufacturing capabilities, including:

  • Plastic factory equipped with 21 injection machines boasting a production capacity of 8,000 tons per year.
  • Bathtubs and foot baths factory producing 300,000 units annually, with products certified by the Egyptian Organisation for Standardisation and Quality Control (EOS).
  • Cast acrylic sheet factory with a production capacity of 1,800 tons per year.
  • Several plastic recycling facilities with a combined annual capacity of 4,000 tons.
  • Research and development center actively pursuing over 75 new research projects for continuous improvement.
Rubex’s chairman emphasised innovative technologies to save foreign currency and boost local production. Notably, the company utilises acrylic cracking to produce polymers, reducing reliance on imported raw materials.
