Egypt’s President Sisi flies to UAE for two-day visit

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi travelled on Wednesday to the United Arab Emirates for a two-day official visit, where he will meet with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The two leaders will consult and coordinate on various Arab issues as well as regional and international crises of mutual interest, according to Egypt’s presidency spokesperson Bassam Rady.

Sisi’s visit to the UAE is his eighth since 2014.

His last visit was in February 2018.

Rady stressed the closeness of Egypt-UAE relations and their strong bilateral ties on all levels.

The spokesperson said that the visit reflects the two countries’ keenness to continue coordination on how to tackle the challenges facing the region and protect Arab national security.
