Egypt’s state-owned Banque du Caire Q3 net profit at EGP 2.5 billion

Egypt’s state-owned Banque du Caire said on Thursday its net profit for the third quarter of 2020 had reached 2.5 billion Egyptian pounds ($159.8 million).

Net interest margin (NIM) rose to 5.9 percent in the third quarter ended in September 2020, compared with 5.1 percent for the same quarter of 2019, the bank added.

Net income from fees and charges surged 6 percent to 1.2 billion pounds at the end of September from 1.1 billion pounds in the same period last year.
