Egypt’s stock market indices close slightly higher, EGX 30 adds 0.09% on Tuesday

Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended slightly higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index adding only 0.09 percent to 11,057 points.

The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) fell 0.15 percent lower to 2,126 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped advanced 0.11 percent to 13,287 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 dropped 0.14 percent to 3,081 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 remained unchanged at 2,265 points.

Market Cap   

Total market capitalisation has posted gains worth 52 million Egyptian pounds ($3.3 million) to close at 654.731 billion pounds on Tuesday.

Trading Aggregates         

Also on Tuesday, the trading value has approximately reached 1.8 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 576.8 million securities executed 49,596 transactions.
