Egypt’s stocks close higher on Wednesday as benchmark EGX 30 advanced 1.04%

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) has finished its trade higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index adding 1.04 percent to 11,064 points.

EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) went up 0.36 percent to 2,991 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped gained 1.07 percent to 13,341 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 hiked 0.74 percent to 3,978 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 surged 1.41 percent to 2,474 points.

Market Cap   

The country’s market capitalisation has on Wednesday posted gains worth 6.9 billion Egyptian pounds ($439.5 million), ending the trading at 731.450 billion pounds backed by Arab and foreign investors’ buying appetite.

Trading Aggregates            

Trading value has approximately reached around 6.25 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded around 736.734 million securities executed 66,653 transactions.
