Egypt’s stocks close in dark red on Monday, benchmark EGX 30 plunges 3.55%

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) ended lower on Monday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index plunging by 3.55 percent to 10,701 points.

EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) sank by 2.14 percent to 1,870 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 tumbled by 2.16 percent to 2,834 points.

Market Cap   

The country’s market capitalisation has incurred losses worth 14.6 billion Egyptian pounds ($928 million), ending the trading at 693.987 billion pounds.

Trading Aggregates            

Trading value has approximately reached around 354.163 million pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded around 1.488 million securities executed 46,860 transactions.
