Egypt’s stocks close mostly higher on Tuesday as benchmark EGX 30 adds 0.93%

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) has closed mostly higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index adding 0.93 percent to 11,676 points.

EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) dropped by 0.21 percent to 2,311 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped rose by 0.58 percent to 13,740 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 grew 0.29 percent to 2,136 points.

Market Cap   

The country’s market capitalisation has posted gains on Tuesday worth 2.5 billion Egyptian pounds ($162.1 million), ending the trading at 750.666 billion pounds due to Arab and foreign investors’ buying appetite.

Trading Aggregates            

Trading value has approximately reached around 4.5 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 442.374 million securities executed 43,712 transactions.
