Egypt’s stocks end lower, benchmark EGX 30 tumbles 0.69 on Monday

Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed lower on Monday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index falling 0.69 percent to 11,523 points.

The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) tumbled 1.29 percent to 2,412 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped dropped 0.44 percent to 14,146 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 went down 0.95 percent to 3,443 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 lost 0.73 percent at 2,399 points.

Market Cap   

Total market capitalisation has incurred losses worth 5.5 billion Egyptian pounds ($351.6 million) to close at 704.269 billion pounds on Monday.

Trading Aggregates            

Also on Monday, the trading value has approximately reached 5.2 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 945.267 million securities executed 67,349 transactions.
