Egypt’s stocks end lower on Tuesday, benchmark EGX 30 solely up, market cap gains EGP 1 bln
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index plummeting 1.15 percent to 11,417 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) decreased 1.45 percent to 2,370 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped edged down 1.20 percent to 14,051 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 also fell 1.34 percent to 3,391 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 dropped 1.37 percent to 2,367 points.

Total market capitalisation has on Wednesday made gains worth 1 billion Egyptian pounds ($63.7 million) to close at 701.953 billion pounds.

Trading value has approximately reached 4.7 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 573.483 million securities executed 49,858 transactions.
