Egypt’s stocks end mixed on Tuesday, 25 August 2026

Egyptian shares closed mixed on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX30 index rising 0.20 per cent.

The EGX30, which tracks the country’s largest and most actively traded companies, ended at 55,277.03 points, while the EGX33 Shariah index dipped 0.03 per cent to 6,564.53 and the EGX35-LV fell 0.84 per cent to 6,726.6.

Small- and mid-cap stocks witnessed a downturn, with the EGX70 index going down by 1.27 per cent to 21,101.43 points and the broader EGX100 losing 0.94 per cent to 27,390.5 points.

Market capitalisation stood at 4.272 trillion Egyptian pounds.

Non-Arab foreign investors were net sellers, recording net sales of 6.333 billion pounds.

Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers, with purchases totalling 3.448 billion pounds and 2.885 billion pounds, respectively.
