Egypt’s stocks end mixed on Wednesday, 29 July 2026

Egypt’s stock market ended mixed on Wednesday, with the benchmark EGX30 index slipping 0.19 per cent while broader market indexes posted gains.

The EGX30, which tracks the country’s largest and most actively traded companies, closed at 53,627.32 points. The EGX33 Shariah index was unchanged at 6,057.08 points, while the EGX35-LV gained 0.12 per cent to 6,369.41 points.

Small- and mid-cap stocks outperformed, with the EGX70 index rising 0.67 per cent to 18,422.68 points and the broader EGX100 advancing 0.51 per cent to 24,255.77 points.

Total market capitalisation stood at 3.959 trillion Egyptian pounds.

Egyptian investors were net sellers, with net sales of 22.214 billion pounds. Arab investors were net buyers with purchases of 378.569 million pounds, while foreign investors recorded net purchases of 21.835 billion pounds.
