Egypt’s stocks end the week in mixed notes, benchmark EGX 30 adds 0.55%

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) has closed mixed on Thursday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index rising by 0.55 percent to 11,125 points.

EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) tumbled 1.28 percent to 2,953 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped surged 0.75 percent to 13,440 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 fell 0.58 percent to 3,955 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 edged down 0.10 percent to 2,471 points.

Market Cap   

The country’s market capitalisation has on Thursday posted gains worth 1.3 billion Egyptian pounds ($82.8 million), ending the trading at 732.749 billion pounds amid Arab and foreign investors’ buying appetite.

Trading Aggregates            

Trading value has approximately reached around 4.4 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded around 749.513 million securities executed 70,142 transactions.
