Egypt’s stocks end week higher as benchmark EGX 30 adds 1.04%

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) ended higher on Thursday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index climbing by 1.04 percent to 11,305 points.

EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) went 1.83 percent higher to 1,887 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped surged by 1.03 percent to 13,698 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 gained 1.22 percent to 1,939 points.

The all-embracing index, EGX 100 added 1.66 percent to 2,882 points.

Market Cap   

The country’s market capitalisation has posted gains worth 7.2 billion Egyptian pounds ($459.1 million), ending the trading at 715.420 billion pounds.

Trading Aggregates            

Trading value has approximately reached around 993.150 million pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded around 353.024 million securities executed 36,953 transactions.
