Egypt’s stocks End Lower with EGP349 million Losses

Egypt’s stocks ended trading on Thursday lower losing 349 million Egyptian pounds driven by Arab and Egyptian investors’ sales. The main stock index, EGX30 retreated below 9697 points.

Indices

Egypt’s benchmark index EGX30 ended 0.22 per cent lower to 9697p; while EGX20 tumbled by 0.66 per cent down to 11354pts.     
In addition, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 inched by 0.07 per cent to end at 620 pts. The price index EGX100 sagged by 0.14per cent to conclude at 1143 pts.  
Furthermore, the market capitalization recorded EGP 524.497billion on Thursday.

Turnovers
Through the closing session of Thursday, the trading volume has reached 93 million securities, with turnovers worth EGP 548 million, exchanged through 20.8 thousand transactions.               
Also during the closing session,176 listed securities have been traded in; 93declined, 62 advanced; while 19 kept their previous levels.

Investors’ Activities

Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers seizing on Thursday net equity of EGP21million, excluding the deals.

On the other hand, Arab and foreign investors were net buyers net equity of EGP 22 million.
