Egypt’s stocks finish in red on Tuesday, benchmark EGX 30 losses 2.84%

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) finished lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index losing 2.84 percent to 10,396 points.

EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) fell by 0.52 percent to 1,861 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 edged down by 1.04 percent to 2,804 points.

Market Cap   

The country’s market capitalisation has incurred losses worth 13.5 billion Egyptian pounds ($861.75 million), ending the trading at 680.449 billion pounds.

Trading Aggregates            

Trading value has approximately reached around 1.29 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded around 292.059 million securities executed 42,000 transactions.
