Egypt’s Suez Canal activity grows 23.6% in Q3 2025/26

Egypt’s Suez Canal activity grew 23.6 per cent in the third quarter of fiscal year 2025/26, making it the fastest-growing economic activity during the period, Planning Minister Ahmed Rostom told the Cabinet’s weekly meeting on Wednesday.

Rostom said the strong performance reflected the Suez Canal Authority’s ability to maintain regular shipping traffic and continue providing maritime services efficiently despite ongoing regional tensions.
