Egypt’s Suez Canal grows 33.8% in Q4

Egypt’s Suez Canal activity grew by 33.8 per cent in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025/2026 and 23.3 per cent during the full fiscal year, marking a continued recovery after contracting in the previous year. The figures were announced on Thursday during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly.

The Suez Canal recorded the highest growth among economic activities during the fourth quarter, Planning and Economic Development Minister Ahmed Rostom said during the meeting. He reviewed the performance of the Egyptian economy during the fourth quarter and FY 2025/2026.
