EJB Reveals Corruption Hinders Investors in Egypt

Hossam Fareed, General Manager of Egyptian Junior Business Association (EJB), said the association jointly with fighting corruption committee, which was formed by the ministry of industry and foreign trade a year ago, have prepared a number of researches summarize all the investment obstacles concern the procedures of the state’s administrative authority, and reflect the volume of corruption it has.
In his statements to “Amwal Al Ghad”, Fareed said the association establishes relations with all the ministerial authorities to detect the corrupted ones and how to eliminate them. It also attempts to launch a general initiative that bolster more facilities for the investment procedures in the Egyptian economy.
Eng. Omar Sabbour, Chairman of Egyptian Junior Business Association, on his part, said the corruption represents in bribes, nepotism, and suspending the procedures because of personal interests for some employees in the state’s administrative authority. This is what the association has revealed through its researches with the concerned businessmen and investors.
