El-Zoheiry: Micro Insurance Plays Key Role In Society

Alaa El-Zoheiry, managing director of the Arab Misr Insurance Group (AMIG), emphasized on the importance of focusing on providing services for different customers’ segments that need medical insurance coverage and most importantly the micro insurance services.

During his opening speech at the Second Regional Forum on Medical Insurance & Healthcare, he added that medical insurance sector plays an important role in reducing expenses levied on people.

Medical insurance sector achieved premiums of US$ 84 million in FY 2010/2011, up from US$ 69.5 million in FY 2009/2010. The value of premiums disbursed registered US$ 45 million in FY 2010/2011.
