Emaar Properties finalises phase I of Dubai world’s largest tower

Dubai-based property developer Emaar Properties completed the first phase of Dubai Creek Tower, its  spokesman told Al Bayan newspaper on Sunday.

The AED 3.67 billion Dubai Creek Tower is planned to be the world’s tallest tower with a height exceeding 1,000 metres.

The UAE’s real estate firm is currently reviewing costs and contract terms to implement the second phase, the spokesman added.

The first phase involved pouring 50,000 cubic metres of concrete, weighing about 120,000 tonnes, and placing about 18,000 tonnes of steel reinforcement.
