Erdogan Calls On Turkish Businessmen To Invest in Egyptian Market

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan received yesterday Eng. Hatem Saleh, Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade, and head of the Egyptian delegation that participate in the 28th COMCEC (Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation) in Istanbul. He affirmed that Turkey keens on sustaining and supporting Egypt in various international forums to restore its leading role in Middle East and Africa.

He pointed out that Egypt will witness political stability and economic promotion; referring that his country encourage the Turkish businessmen of the private sector to invest in the Egyptian market to enter new partnership with their counterparts in different fields. Erdogan lauded President Mohamed Morsi’s visit to Turkey last month, by which they have emphasized on the necessity of supporting the joint cooperation between the two countries; especially in the economic, trade and investing fields to achieve the joint interest.

The Turkish Prime Minister received the chairmen of the countries’ delegations that would participate in the 28th COMCEC (Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation) in Istanbul.  They underscored the necessity of enhancing and deepening the economic cooperation between Islamic countries members in the organization.

On his part, Eng. Hatem Saleh said Egypt keens on participating in all economic forums, as it is one of the important factors in economy system on the regional and international levels. He pointed to the transitional democratic that Egypt witnessed in the last period has regained Egypt’s leading role on all levels.

Saleh added that Egypt seeks increasing cooperation with the member countries through freeing the intra-region trade and boosting the joint investment, moreover, exchanging the experiences concern trade, systems of specifications, quality and Halal food criteria, as well Protection Of Intellectual Property Rights Law in the member countries, and developing the small and medium entrepreneurs.
