Euro area industrial output down 0.1% in June

Euro area industrial production decreased by 0.1 per cent in June 2024, compared to May 2024, according to a flash estimate published by Eurostat, the statistical office of the EU on Wednesday.

This follows a sharper decline of 0.9 per cent in May 2024. Meanwhile, industrial production in the European Union (EU) remained unchanged in June after a 1.2 per cent drop in May.

Year-on-year, industrial production in June 2024 fell by 3.9 per cent in the euro area and by 3.2 per cent in the EU compared to June 2023.
