Fawry profits rise by 196% in 3 months

Egyptian e-payment giant Fawry has announced on Thursday that its profits have increased by more than 196 percent during the first quarter of the current fiscal year to reach 142 million Egyptian pounds, up from 47.8 during the same quarter last year.

The company’s revenues grew by 40 percent in the first three months of the year to record 675.6 million pounds, up from 482.9 million pounds in 2022. The main index rose during the first quarter to four piasters, up from 2 piasters the year before.
