Finance Ministry Raises 8 Bln In Treasury Bills, Bonds

The Egyptian Ministry of Finance sold 182- and 364-day treasury bills each worth EGP 3.5 billion on Thursday. The Ministry also raised EGP one billion in 3-and 10-year treasury bonds today.

The yields on 182-day T-bills ranged from 13.429% to 14.190%, while the average return registered 13.789%. The yields on 364-day T-bills ranged from 13.001% to 14.350%, while the average return registered 14.043%.

The Ministry advanced an auction to sell 3-and 10-year T-bonds worth EGP one billion from next Monday which is a public holiday on the occasion of Easter to Thursday. The yields on 3- year T-bonds ranged from 14.72% to 14.95%, while the average return registered 14.83%. The yields on 10-year T-bonds ranged from 16.19% to 17%, while the average return registered 16.906%.
