Fraud Hinders Medical Insurance Advancement: Adel Hammad

The medical insurance industry in Egypt faces many difficulties related to fraudulent actions of service providers and the insured and uninsured persons, said Adel Hammad, chairman and managing director of Misr Insurance Company.

Hammad emphasized on the importance of medical insurance sector and called on concerned bodies to conclude more cooperation deals in order to boost the volume of medical insurance premiums.

The sector was in need for a forum like the Second Regional Forum on Medical Insurance & Healthcare to help in increasing the demand for healthcare services and boosting the medical insurance premiums which reached EGP 750 million, Hammad noted.
