Egyptian Oil Minister Tarek El-Molla received Saturday a report from Ganoub El-Wadi Petroleum Holding Company (Ganope) on work progress at the newly-discovered EGZ-1X well. The EGZ-1X well is located in East Gabal El Zeit area, Gulf of Suez.
According to the report -submitted by Chairman Sherif Sousa-, EGZ-1X well produces around 1,000 barrels of oil and one million cubic feet of associated gas daily.
Ganoupe is currently testing EGZ-1X well through perforating 120 feet out of total 212 feet, the report pointed out.
The total production of EGZ-1X well is expected to reach 3,000 barrels per day after perforating all crude layers in Balaeim and south Gharib areas.
